Grow Jackson

Grow Jackson is a nonprofit founded and based in Jackson, dedicated to bringing fresh food to our neighbors to fight hunger and food insecurity. Through fresh food rescues and community gardens we expand fresh food access in Jackson.
Each year we partner with various community organizations to teach over 300 students a year about their food system and the importance of fresh food. Grow Jackson operates and supports numerous gardens throughout Jackson to provide space for students, their families, and our community to learn how to grow and harvest fresh food.
At Grow Jackson we believe that access to healthy fresh food is human right We believe that equitable access to our food systems is food justice, and food justice is an essential component of community equity and health. We are committed to building a community where these beliefs are a reality for everyone.
“At Grow Jackson we believe access to fresh healthy food is a human right”
