Fresh Food Distribution

Grow Jackson is working with community partners to establish our fresh food distribution program. The way it works is, Grow Jackson picks up fruits and vegetables that would otherwise be thrown away, and rescues them in a process known as food reclamation. From there the food is distributed to people in our community who need more access to produce. The rescued food will primarily go to food banks and pantries who are already serving food insecure populations. This helps expand the diet options for people attending the pantry and provides an opportunity for partner pantries to increase what they offer to their guests.

We are looking for organizations already working in community aid and food distribution to supplement with produce bags. If you are interested in applying to be a partner pantry please contact us.
